Well, I should definitely be getting some sleep, but this is the only time it's quiet in our home! We'll see how this goes. It's defenitely been an encouragement to visit my friends' blogs and see how they are doing...an easy way for busy people to keep in touch! I have definitely appreciated seeing each of you in "real" life.
I chose Isaiah 58:11 as a header for my blog because it has been very "real" to me. Is it possible that triumph can come from tragedy, beauty from ashes, joy from sorrow, and yes, a watered garden from drought? Absolutely! Almighty God says so! I've had the privelege of experiencing so! It's the inbetween triumph and tragedy, beauty and ashes, joy and sorrow, drought and garden that is known to us as the struggle, a time of perseverence, clinging, trusting and so much more. It's during these times that He teaches us. This is why Isaiah 58:11 has been so precious to me. It's a promise! A promise to guide, a promise to satisfy and strengthen, a promise to bring forth all that is good and glorifiying! Those waters do not fail because He does not fail!
There is a certain vulnerability that comes with blogging. It would be easy to fill my blog with fluff and all the "pretties" in life in order to make everyone think I've got it together. Ha! That would be the farthest thing from the truth! My hope is that my real life can be used by the Lord as a channel of blessing and encouragement for others and glory for Himself!
