This is the latest look in our house. To get this look ride your bike off of ramp, remove hand from handlebar, turn bike wheel sideways and land. Then, fly over front of bike, hit sidewalk with face, skid face a few feet with rest of body in the air and finally, flip over.

Tough kid, he wasn't even going to come inside until his brother told him his face was all bloody. Then, said brother let him quickly through the front door and he made a quick dash to the bathroom to try and wash his face before he showed us! BOYS!!!!!! Joel said he didn't want me to scream in horror when I saw him. I thought it was very sweet of him to consider me, but I think he underestimated the fact that that stuff doesn't gross me out. Sweet of him none the less! We headed to the ER and they cleaned the wounds and the CT scan didn't show any bleeding, swelling, or broken bones. We are so grateful for the Lord's protection, it could have turned out much worse. And YES, he had his helmet on. Can't imagine what he would look like if he hadn't. The doctor saw him today and will see him again on Thursday. Prayers for no infections are coveted! So begins another chapter in the exciting life of our boys!

Oh my goodness, Rory! BOYS!!!! Such dare devils and so accident prone...but that looks pretty uncomfortable. Poor kid. You are one tough mama!
Oh. My. Goodness! Wow! I'm so glad he is okay, but I think I would have been one upset mommmy and might have let out at least one tiny, concerned gasp/yell? I love the photo progression. It's interesting to see that in the process of it getting better he actually looks worse! Give him a hug from us!

Oh my! That's an impressive injury!! Hope all is healing nicely by now!
Oh sweet, crazy, thoughtful (to go and try to clean up before showing you) boy! I'm so glad he was wearing a helmet! His eye is amazing, especially in the second photo. Wow. Way to be strong, and to document it for him- guys inevitably think stuff like this is so 'cool' :) I bet your home is one boy-busy place! How fun.
