2 1/2 Months...ALREADY!!!

I can hardly believe our little guy is already two and half months old! He had his 2 month check up August 31st and was 25 inches long and 13 lbs 12.8 oz. He's growing like a weed! I was hoping to update on him a little more often, but time is scarce these days! I admire you moms who seem to keep up on your blogs...probably a lot more organized than me!

~One of my favorite things is after his morning feeding he's wide awake and smiles so big the room lights up like the sun is shining brightly even though it's often still dark out. He smiles and coos and when we talk to him he always has a sweet reply! He does this almost everytime he eats, but he's always the brightest and most vocal after a good night's sleep.
~Speaking of sleep, he's sleeping between 5 and 7 hours a night. Last night he went for eight hours! Sometimes I have to get up and slip the binky in his mouth, but he usually falls right back to sleep and lets me get a few more zzz's.
~He's fitting into some of his 6 month clothes which amazes me! I'm hoping all my great garage sale finds this past spring will fit him through the winter!
~He's just like my other boys...as long as his belly is full he's a happy camper! I do have to say though, he only tolerates his carseat for so long and then he lets us know it's time to GET OUT!!! ;o)
~He loves his brothers and they love him! They are so sweet to Wyatt! They love to hold him and talk to him. Joel, who likes to appear as though he has a tough exterior (he's a real softy) turns to absolute mush when it comes to his baby brother! He was carrying Wyatt to his bath and got peed on...apparently this was Wyatt's right of passage to the brotherhood because Joel has thought more highly of him ever since! Jacob is at his side in an instant everytime he cries talking sweet nothings to try and cheer him up and if that doesn't work he will put him in his high chair (gotta love the reclining high chair with wheels) and take him on a tour of the main floor. Wyatt loves this!
~Although many things have come back just like riding a bike, there are other things that I have completely forgotten how to do and it can be very overwhelming! I'm so thankful for the Lord leading us gently who are with young and for all the sweet mamas I'm surrounded by who can give me great advice!
~One last thing! I told myself that I needed to slow down and enjoy every moment I have with Wyatt and cherish it without being in a hurry to do the next thing...when your little ones get older you realize just how fast time flies and would do just about anything to go back and enjoy their littleness more fully. The Lord has really helped to do this and when I get anxious He reminds me to stop and enjoy!
~OKAY! This will be the last thing...I absolutely love how the Lord uses this little blessing named Wyatt to remind me of Himself and how much He loves me and cares for me! Huge lessons and reminders in such a little package!

Great post, Rory! I love how your older boys entertain Wyatt. The image of him touring the house in his high chair cracks me up. So sweet. Now I just need to meet this little guy!
